J. Todd Edwards

Todd Edwards

Todd is a Reliant Principal and serves as its President. Mr. Edwards has 29 years of proven leadership in the areas of finance, administration, community corrections, and nonprofit management. Todd has developed a unique ability to incorporate private sector strategies in solving public sector challenges. Prior to founding Reliant, he served as a Regional Vice President for a national corrections firm. Earlier in his career, Todd worked in the public sector as a governmental manager and was the lead administrator on several pilot initiatives in NC. These included the first juvenile intensive supervision program, juvenile day reporting center, and juvenile drug court. Over the years, he has served in various leadership positions in regional and national associations. Todd currently enjoys membership in the American Correctional Association and NC Sheriff’s Association. He holds a B.A. and M.A. Ed. from East Carolina University.

Nathaniel (Nate) Gay

Nate GayNate is a Reliant Principal and serves as Exec. Vice President. Mr. Gay oversees the daily management of all monitoring services, community-based programming, and educational/ treatment services operating under Reliant – and companies managed by Reliant. Throughout his career, which began with military service in the Air Force, Nate has consistently been recognized as an excellent manager. He has earned a solid reputation for coordinating interagency initiatives and transforming individual efforts into a unified strategy. Prior to founding Reliant, he served as Judicial District Manager of all probation operations in the 10th Judicial District of NC and has served as a consultant to the National Institute of Corrections. He was instrumental in establishing the community policing initiative in Raleigh. Nate currently enjoys membership in the American Probation and Parole Association and the NC Sheriff’s Association. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from UNC- Charlotte.
